This was a class action case filed on behalf of almost 18,000 class members against the Defendants, mortgage lenders, for Truth in Lending Act (TILA) violations. The Defendants engaged in unlawful practices related to the closing charges and fees during the refinancing of the Plaintiff's homes and Defendants failed to properly disclosure certain fees as finance charges. The Plaintiffs were overcharged and/or did not know certain charges were actual finance charges. A $10,000,000 settlement was reached on behalf of the class members.
